Next (if I were you), I'd uninstall Driver Manager and never visit its site again. Either way, it won't cost you anything at all.

If you are already up to date, it'll tell you that, too (Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date). Is an updated driver out there, it'll find it. Click on the top choice (Search automatically.) and let it do its thing. Double-click it (or right-click and pick Properties), go to the Driver tab and click on Update. For example, my Gateway has an Intel ICH8M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller. There should be a listing for something including the "AHCI Controller" Open Device Manager (Control Panel > System > Device Manager in the left-hand column) and look under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers (or similar, depending on your machine). If they can get someone to fork over $10 for a "newer, up-to-date" driver, Sites like Driver Manager are out to make money off unsuspecting customers, nothing more, nothing less. Are you having a problem with it? If not, then don't worry about it.
