I don't think this software is for everyone, and it is in terms of reading guitar music it is in no was an equivalent substitute for quality published paper scores as read from a music stand. I must say I am not associated with the company who makes this software, and I am only a user. As far as technical aspects of written music composition are concerned, the notational inventory for the guitar is quite complete (encompassing both traditional classical guitar symbols and more modern notational symbols associated with mainly rock or electric styles), and though there are a few glitches here and there, they are not serious in nature. You can write a score for multiple guitars easily. Also, if you are a composer, you can hear your music played back as notated, and that obviously has its benefits. One of the reasons I recommend at least the free trial period is that it can benefit players of any level and interest as there is quite a bit of music available for download. (If you know of any I'd love to know about them). In my opinion this is a good piece of guitar software, though there well may be better offerings in cyberspace.

If your computer has a sound card and built-in MIDI instrument (most Windows and Mac systems come with both), you can not only view but hear the score being played (playback tempo can be controlled).
